Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers: Ben Simmons has 1 Point Performance

Posted on

In Game 2 of the second round of the eastern conference NBA Playoffs, Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers scored only a single point.

Ben Simmons, who many have said is simply a simple jumpsuit away from becoming the latest dominant player in the NBA, had only one point in the 76ers loss to the Celtics.

A lone single one on the point column for Ben Simmons. I know if I was a starter in the NBA, if I got only one point in a playoff game, I would be horrifically sad. I am not a starter in the NBA in a playoff game, and I will never approach this plateau in my lifetime.

But by god, one point? Come on man.

Ben Simmons on his performance:

The Celtics were able to disrupt all passing lanes around Ben Simmons, making him fall into traps that weren’t immediately visible to him.

A staple of the defense employed by Brad Stevens in the playoffs against star point guards.

Was it just a simple occurrence that is a blip on Ben’s career? Was it it testament to the staunch defense of the Celtics on attacking the focal point of the opposing offense?

Boston leads the series 2-0 heading to Philadelphia.
