Daft Punk: Parisian Electronic Music Pioneers

To start the weekend off, we have the astonishing robotic duo from Paris, featuring longtime music producer and artist Pharrell Williams.

Making a name with the Neptunes as a producing partnership with long-time friend Chad Hugo; Pharrell Williams has ventured out on his own several times as both an solo artist and producer. Also a founding member of N.E.R.D.

And playing the amazing guitar like only the legend can play it, with the rhythm and pluck that was his to begin. The one, the legendary, and only: Nile Rodgers.

The legend. The original. Whether through Chic, Sister Sledge, or his countless collaborations with other artists; Nile Rodgers’ famous rhythmic electric guitar playing places him amongst the classic guitarists like Jimmy Hendrix and Carlos Santana. Sadly, his work is more recognized than his own namesake.

Daft Punk presents: Get Lucky.

Get Lucky. The title track from Daft Punk’s 2013 Studio album “Random Access Memories” from Sony Records. Winner of “Song of the Year” and “Album of the Year” from the Grammys.

If you have the time, I implore you to listen to the entire album from Daft Punk. It’s called Random Access Memories. Your ears and heart will thank you.

Have a great weekend.
